Spaniards destroy U.S.S Maine!!
Yesterday, February 15th 1898, citizens of Havan Harbor were startled by a sound of a terrible explosion. The U.S.S Maine exploded in a great ball of fire just off the coast of the Havan Harbor. Speculations show that Spainiards tampered with bombs on the Maine and caused the explosion. Two hundred and eighty six American men lost their lives in the explosion and there are only eighty nine survivors. Mckinley states that the Spanish used explosives to detonate the Maine meaning to kill everyone onboard. Rumors of a war are starting to brew here in America to avenge the innocent sailors who lost their lives. "Remember the Maine, to Hell with Spain!"
